David Rismann

I have been working with computers and developing software since the mid 1980s and have been a practicing forensic computer examiner assisting attorneys with technical litigation since 2000.
In this capacity, I have worked on both plaintiff and defense cases, civil and criminal cases, and have served in the capacity of specially-appointed court master for the purpose of preserving evidence.
I have given qualified expert testimony in both state and federal courts and have been admitted to the Panel of Experts for the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles.

Project Description
Imaged three disks from two computers, a laptop and a mini-tower, for evidentiary preservation. The laptop contained a mSATA SSD and a mechanical hard disk.
All disks forensically imaged and verified successfully.

EXPERT WITNESS Software

Project Description
Reviewed discovery and consulted with defense team in a case involving a failed software development project.
I concluded that there were serious problems with the plaintiff's claims stemming from a poorly-conceived plan, a vague contract, no project specification, and because the plaintiff fired the project lead whose unique talents made him the only person who could have made the project successful.

After an extensive forensic examination, I found no evidence of misappropriation.
